Why Stainless Steel
Stainless construction resists corrosion in marine, coastal, washdown, and chemical environments where aluminum or galvanized media would degrade — while staying fully washable and reusable.
That matters because the filter’s job doesn’t change when the environment gets hostile. Salt air, repeated washdown cycles, and chemical exposure attack the media itself; stainless steel mesh keeps its structure through them, so the same filter keeps going back into service.
And it is not a special-order compromise: the full Airsan permanent metal line is available in stainless steel construction and made to any custom size — same filtration, same cleaning routine, in the metal that survives the duty.
How Stainless Mesh Filters Work
Stainless mesh filters capture particles by impingement: air passes through layers of metal media and particles stick to the adhesive-coated mesh. After washing, a recharge with Film-Cor adhesive restores dust-holding — all permanent metal filters take an adhesive after cleaning; that is what makes them effective.
Washed at least once per month, a stainless filter delivers at least 5 years of service with proper care — the same washable filter routine as the rest of the Airsan metal line.
